If you're here, it's likely you want to do one of two things:
Grow an existing business
You're doing something special and want to do more of it. You already have a website, but it can't take you where you want to go. It's not clearly differentiating you. Perhaps your business has pivoted, your audience has changed or your offering is expanding.
You need a branding expert and talented writer who can quickly get what you are about and help you develop great content that inspires action. You deserve someone who can get as fired up about your mission as you are.
It's likely that your most immediate objective is to redesign your website.

Launch a new business
You're starting something new and excited to make a difference. Maybe you have plans to disrupt an industry. Perhaps you are starting your own thing so that you can focus on what matters most to you. There are many paths forward and lots of uncertainty.
You need a strategic marketing partner who can help you put a stake in the ground while giving you room to grow and shift directions. You deserve someone who has launched businesses before and will be all in with you.
Your most immediate objectives are to create a website, pitch documents and LinkedIn profiles.

Step 1: Nail down a clear and authentic brand story.
The foundation of each project is clarifying your vision and understanding the people who need what you do.
Through a series of interviews with key stakeholders, we'll dig into the essence of who you are, what you do, who you do it for and why you do it. We also gain clarity on what makes you different. The results of this discovery process are outlined in a 25+ page vision document along with a clear expression of your core story. Without this in place, we risk creating content that sounds good to us, but misses the mark with your prospects.
My well-honed process combined with years of experience doing this work helps me to jump right in and get what you're doing. I'm strong on conceptual and strategic thinking. My stints as Vice President for a PR firm and head of marketing for a software company give me a bigger view than the typical copywriter.
We don’t invent a story or vision for you. We give voice to what’s already there. We don’t sell ice to Eskimos. We make music so you can dance with people who groove to your rhythm.
Step 2: Develop inspiring content.
Whether creating website content, a pitch deck or email marketing, my objective is always to create something that reflects you and drives business your way. It needs to be remarkable and meaningful enough to inspire the right people to act.
I rock to Strunk & White, Patti Smith and Rumi. Which is to say that I strive for simplicity, authenticity and heart in everything I create. You can count on me to get to the essence of things and express it clearly and naturally. Doing something sciency, complex or otherwise tricky to explain to the layperson? Be still my beating heart.
While branding and content are where I chose to focus now, I've also worked as a web designer, WordPress developer and product designer. As a result, I collaborate exceedingly well with these folks. I understand what they need and speak their language. Whatever you and I develop together will translate seamlessly to your website. (And if you need the whole shebang, I still take on a couple of web design projects each year.)
Step 3. Grow and nurture your audience.
It's important to connect regularly with the people who love what you do. They'll send you more business and provide insights to help all aspects of your business.
The blog on your website offers a great opportunity for you to showcase your expertise and personality. It's also the best route for enhancing SEO. Your email list is one of the most important marketing assets you have. People on it want to hear what you have to say and I'm sure you have plenty that's meaningful to share.
Publishing content on the regular that hits the mark with your audience isn't something you can wing. You need a plan, a process and style guide. I work with you to figure out what’s going to work best for you and your audience and how to get it done.
I ghostwrite articles and newsletters for clients. Even if you are a great writer, you probably need a bit of handholding to find your stride and sustain it. I help with that, too.
